    Description

Step into full-suspension mountain biking without overspending: the Faultline A2 is an ideal choice for riders moving up from a hardtail — or riders craving a capable, budget-friendly trail bike for varied terrain. With a modern 29″ wheel setup, 120 mm rear travel, and a reliable groupset, the Faultline A2 balances climbing efficiency, descending confidence, and everyday trail-ready performance.

    Key Features & Component Highlights

    • Frame & Suspension: Triple-butted 6061-aluminum frame with the proven MP2 dual-suspension platform, offering 120 mm of rear travel. Designed with asymmetrical chainstays, a 1.5 – 1 1/8″ tapered head tube, internal dropper-post routing, an ISCG05 chainguide mount, and a 12x148 mm thru-axle rear dropout — delivering a modern, durable trail chassis built for stability and versatility.

    • Fork & Shock: RockShox Recon Silver RL 29″ fork (130 mm travel, Solo Air, lever-activated lockout, external rebound) up front. Rear suspension handled via RockShox Deluxe Select R air shock with rebound adjust — giving you a balanced, efficient suspension system for cross-country rides, rolling terrain, and light-to-moderate technical singletrack.

    • Wheels & Tires: 29″ WTB STX i25 TCS tubeless-ready rims laced to Shimano MT400 hubs (Boost 15×110 mm front / 12×148 mm rear). Tires are WTB: Vigilante 29 × 2.35″ front and Trail Boss 29 × 2.25″ rear — giving good rollover, traction, and stability for a wide range of trail conditions.

    • Drivetrain & Gearing: 1×11-speed drivetrain using Shimano Deore components: 32T crankset, Shimano Deore Shadow Plus rear derailleur, and 11-51 T cassette backed by a KMC X11 chain — delivering a broad gear range to tackle steep climbs and fast descents with confidence.

    • Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors — offering dependable stopping power for trail riding, even under wet or variable conditions.

    • Cockpit & Comfort: Race Face Ride 760 mm handlebar paired with a 50 mm stem for stable, responsive handling. Grips are Jamis Lock-On. A KS Exaform 900i dropper post (with remote) and WTB Volt saddle come standard — giving you added control and comfort when climbing, descending, or adjusting on the fly.

Why Faultline A2 Is a Smart Choice

    • Great value/full-suspension performance at an entry-friendly price point. For riders upgrading from a hardtail, or those who want a capable trail bike without a high-end price tag, the Faultline A2 hits the balance of spec, durability, and cost.

    • Versatile for many trail types. From XC-style rides and rolling terrain to moderate singletrack, the A2 feels comfortable and capable — especially on smoother or moderately technical trails.

    • Modern build with practical components. Tubeless-ready wheels, dropper post routing, 1× drivetrain, and hydraulic discs give you many of the features expected on higher-end bikes — but at a more approachable price.

    • A solid choice for beginners, intermediates, or anyone seeking a budget-conscious full-suspension trail rig.The geometry and suspension are tuned for an efficient, lively feel rather than aggressive enduro or downhill — perfect for cross-country, all-around trail, and everyday riding.
